This military hat or cover box is hand-crafted from solid, kiln-dried Cherry wood (no particle board is used). The wood is stained, then top-coated (twice) with a clear conversion varnish which meets all environmental regulations.
The overall outside dimensions of this box are 17" wide x 16-3/4" deep x 9" high (including the lid). The lid itself measures 17-1/2" wide x 17" deep. Inside dimensions are 15" wide x 15" deep x 7-5/8" high.
Comes with a hinged lid and a magnetic catch for the lid. There is also a viewing glass built into both the side panels, as well as the front panel. Although the case pictured in this listing does NOT have a viewing glass built into the lid itself, we can custom-make your case to include one for an additional fee of $20. (See sample photos with viewing glass built into the lid.) If you prefer a viewing glass in the lid, you can order this style of box by clicking the radio button next to this option (to the right). Custom laser wood-engraving, glass-etching, and other custom services are available through us for an additional fee (an additional lead time will also apply). Please see some of the photos in this listing for samples of wood-engraved/glass-etched hat boxes. Again, for these custom options, you can order by clicking the appropriate radio button (to the right). However, if you are ordering a box with glass-etching and/or wood engraving, you must e-mail us, upon checking out, with the precise wording of any text you want etched/engraved, and attach a high-res (Vector) image [e.g. .cdr, .eps, .pdf, etc.] of any logo, emblem or insignia you plan to have us etch or engrave. Any other type of digital file submitted (e.g. jpg, .bmp, .tif, etc.) will be subject to an additional minimal $35 "re-draw" fee (depending upon the quality of the file submitted). Please inquire - prior to checkout - if you have any questions in this regard.
The inside bottom (or floor) of this case comes standard with black felt. Other felt-color options are Hunter Green, Navy Blue, Wine Red, and Saddle Gray.
